Recently, a very good friend of mine sent me photo of his son, Soan, 4 at the time, playing Super Shmup (one of my 1st game, thanks to the Lazy Devs Academy)
At this time, I was working on another game prototype, a platformer, but the scope was waaaay to big (I realize now), and I was getting really tired of the project day after day.
For his birthday, my friend build his son a RetroPie/Recalbox device, for him to play and discover some retro classics. Super Mario was on top of the list, but beyond the first couple levels, it was too difficult for Soan.
So I asked my friend :
- What does Soan want in a video game ??
And he answered me :
- Tomatoes !! and Green Lasers !!!
All of this give me the idea to use the prototype I've made to make a game that he could enjoy, something retro looking, with some fun challenges, but mostly discovery.
I've tried to be the most authentic from what I recall to be the greatest games I've ever played, and tried to add some new fun features.
I Hope you'll enjoy this game as much as I had to program it!

Soan's World Walkthrough
Hi, thanks for the video, but you kind of spoil the game (and it's a very short game..)
I have trouble to understand the point of your video, you cut the title, the credits, the aspect ratio is very weird, you didn't mention anywhere on your yt page where the game come from, neither who made it, there's no links at all, it's kind of rude.
Anyway, I hope you'll add some info about the games you play/stream in the future, for now I give you the benefit of the doubt.

I played the entire game, easily perfecting every level while having a good time. I played it before reading the description, and after reading it, I have more appreciation for Soan’s World.
You took the time to make this for your friend's son. What an amazing kid he sounds like too.
I could talk about the game, but I think that’s not the point here, the point is that you created something for a little one to enjoy, and even had him give a little input on what he wanted.
I have much respect for you for doing this, in a world where it’s filled with negativity, seeing this made me smile.
